Dr. Eric Hohenberger
Dr. Eric Hohenberger is a 2007 Graduate of The Ohio State University College of Optometry and also obtained an undergraduate degree in Biology from Heidelberg University. Dr. Hohenberger evaluates glasses prescriptions, fits contact lenses including multifocal designs, as well as diagnoses and treats eye conditions and diseases. In his free time Dr. Hohenberger enjoys playing tuba in the Deutchmeister German Band. Come see Dr. Hohenberger for an exam today.
Dr. Michael Cooper
Dr. Michael Cooper is a 1983 graduate of the Ohio State University College of Optometry with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology also. Dr. Cooper has served as an adjunct professor to the Southern College of Optometry for clinical training of optometry students. Dr. Cooper is a Toledo native and his practice experience includes general optometry, contact lens fitting, pre- and post-op cataract surgery visits, and LASIK consults. In 2011 & 2012 he earned TOP HONORS from the Toledo City Paper in the ‘Best of Toledo – Eye Doctor’ category.
Dr. Daniel Rudnicki
Dr. Rudnicki is a wonderful recent addition Village Vision Care medical staff. After receiving his Bachelor of Science Degree from BGSU in 1981, he continued his studies at Southern College of Optometry, in Memphis Tennesee, where he earned his Doctorate of Optometry in 1987. Dr. Rudnicki has a special interest in ocular disease and multi-focal contact lenses. He is enjoys educating and working with all patient age groups. When not at work, Dr. Rudnicki enjoys outdoor activities, family gatherings, and especially time with granddaughter Ava.
Dr. Patrick Henry
Dr. Henry is a Toledo-area native and a graduate of OSU College of Optometry in 2000. His undergraduate college degrees covered Electronic Systems Technology, Biology, and Chemistry. We are pleased to work alongside a retired USAF veteran. Fourteen years of military service began in 1980 which included advanced electronics repair and four years assigned to the U.S. Secret Service in specialized communications.
Dr. Henry is a very skilled optometrist with a passion for tough-to-fit contact lenses and also enjoys patient pre and postop eye care. Dr. Henry has great doctor-patient rapport and is often requested by new patients. Away from work he plays competitive league softball and enjoys time spent with family including seven (soon to be eight) grandchildren.
Dr. Amanda Holtz
Dr. Holtz is a 2007 graduate of the Michigan College of Optometry at Ferris State University. She provides thorough ocular examinations including comprehensive diabetic evaluations as well as treating ocular infections. Dr. Holtz enjoys fitting contact lenses, including bifocal and toric (astigmatism) specialty lenses. She is a sports enthusiast and avid U of M fan. When away from work Dr. Holtz loves spending time with her family.
Dr. James Reeves
Dr. Reeves graduated with distinction from the Ferris State College of Optometry in 1982. He also earned a Bachelor of Science degree and Master of Arts degrees from the University of Michigan. Dr. Reeves is a recipient of a National Science Foundation Academic Year for further studies award. Before becoming an optometrist, Dr. Reeve’s first career was in education. He taught mathematics and science at universities, colleges, and secondary schools throughout S.E. lower Michigan. Dr. Reeves makes it his goal with every patient to maximize their visual potential. He works closely with area ophthalmologists for specialty medical eye care including pre and post-op eye care.
Dr. Emily Schafer
Dr. Trang Nguyen
Dr. Nguyen is a 2016 graduate from the Ferris State College of Optometry and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She provides comprehensive eye examinations including diagnosing, treating, and managing ocular infections, injuries, as well as identifying related systemic conditions affecting the eye (e.g diabetes, hypertension). She also fits contact lenses, including multifocal for presbyopia and toric for astigmatism. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, and gardening.
Dr. Monica Narula, O.D.
Dr. Monica Narula is a 2010 graduate of The Michigan College of Optometry at Ferris State University. Additionally, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Physiology with honors and a specialization in Bioethics, Humanities, and Society from Michigan State University. She performs detailed comprehensive eye examinations, evaluating ocular health and providing accurate prescriptions for glasses and contact lenses. Furthermore, Dr. Narula treats each patient uniquely and believes in taking the time to establish a doctor-patient relationship. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her 4-year-old son, husband, and Australian Shepard.
Dr. Marina Yousif, O.D.
Dr. Marina Yousif completed her undergraduate studies at Oakland University and earned her doctorate of optometry from the Michigan College of Optometry in 2021. In 2022 Dr. Yousif completed her residency in Primary care and specialty contact lenses from Henry Ford Optimeyes. Dr. Yousif enjoys seeing patients of all ages and appreciates contact lens fittings as well as medical ocular conditions. Outside of work, Dr. Yousif enjoys spending time with family and cooking.
Dr. Harold Schiff, O.D.
With almost 50 years of experience (SUNY College of Optometry 1977) and 27 years at Costco, Dr. Harold Schiff is available for all your vision care needs. His special interests include hard-to-fit contact lens cases, working with children less than 8 years old and seniors older than 80. Dr. Schiff carries on a 75 year-old family tradition of eyecare, started by his father, Alvin Schiff O.D. in 1950 and being continued by his son, Jonathan Schiff M.D. since 2021. His son’s choice of ophthalmology was strongly influenced by observing the close, caring relationships Dr. Schiff has developed with his patients over the years. To stay physically active, Dr. Schiff still enjoys golf, pickleball, skiing and riding his horse.
Dr. Kenneth Stein, O.D.
Dr. Stein completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan, with a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology – Zoology. He then attended the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, Illinois earning his Doctor of Optometry degree. He had additional training in Low Vision at the Minneapolis Society for the Blind in Minnesota. Dr. Stein provides routine eye-care as well as the fitting of standard, specialty and difficult to fit contact lenses such as multifocal and Keratoconus lenses.
Dr. Amy Horwitz, O.D.
Dr. Amy Horwitz completed her undergraduate studies at Michigan State University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry. She has practiced as an independent Optometrist in Costco since 2000. Dr. Horwitz performs detailed eye exams and standard, toric, monovision, and multifocal contact lens fittings. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family.
